Why choose The Body Detective Osteopath?
- Mr S. Gray -
Favsta is an outstanding osteopath. I have been a patient for several years requiring treatment for ongoing lumbar spinal issues (major surgery 2018) and upper shoulder/neck realignment. My pain free quality of life is because of Favsta's osteopathic skills, knowledge and experience. She is a dedicated medical professional of the highest caliber.
- Mrs T Fraser -
Favsta is fantastic. She is very thorough, can really get into those muscles if you need her to, and is also, at the same time, very gentle. You can tell she is extremely passionate about her work and genuinely wants you to feel your best!
If you need a new osteopath, don't hesitate to book with her today
-- Ms R. Ruka --
I had heard about an osteopath out west known as the "Body Detective," so when I encountered a recurring injury that didn’t seem to improve with physiotherapy or chiropractic care I didn't hesitate to get contact.
Favsta is an absolute magician and is really passionate about her work! She conducts a thorough assessment—I'm talking head to toe, inside and out—and will pinpoint issues, whether you’re aware of them or not. If she can’t resolve the issue right away, she’ll give you a clear, realistic estimate of how many sessions you might need to fully recover. And if it’s beyond her scope, she won’t hesitate to refer you for scans or to a specialist, while still providing ongoing support to help you heal.

Structural and Cranial Osteopathy

Structural Osteopathy
Helping you move with greater ease.Structural osteopathy focuses on the muscles, joints, ligaments and fascia that support your body. Using hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage, stretching and manipulation (when appropriate), treatment aims to reduce pain, restore movement and improve overall function.Whether you're recovering from an injury, experiencing back or neck pain, suffering from headaches, or dealing with ongoing stiffness, structural osteopathy is designed to help your body move and function more efficiently.---
Cranial Osteopathy
A gentle approach to restoring balance.Cranial osteopathy uses subtle, gentle hands-on techniques to assess and support the body's natural ability to heal and regulate itself. It can be particularly beneficial for newborns and babies, pregnancy-related discomfort, headaches, jaw pain, concussion recovery, stress-related tension, and people who prefer a gentler treatment approach.Despite its name, cranial osteopathy doesn't only focus on the head. It considers the whole body and how different systems work together to promote health and well-being.---
Tailoring the Right Approach for YouEvery person is different, which is why no two treatments are the same. After a thorough assessment, I'll select the techniques that are most appropriate for your condition and comfort level. This may include structural osteopathy, cranial osteopathy, or a combination of both to address the underlying cause of your symptoms and support lasting recovery.---
